Web Developers

Bright Interactive is a leading technical web development agency that is looking for highly motivated web developers to join its talented team. Based in Brighton, we have a rapidly expanding portfolio of clients nationwide.

We are looking for web developers who can demonstrate real enthusiasm and dedication, and who enjoy working in a team environment.

The ideal candidate will be capable of:

  • developing web applications in modern object oriented languages, for example Python, Java, .NET
  • using techniques such as Ajax to improve the user experience
  • designing well structured relational databases
  • understanding how web pages are built in XHTML and CSS.

You should have a good degree (2.1 or above) in Computer Science or a similarly relevant subject and you will ideally have some work experience.

The successful applicants will receive excellent on-the-job training and, depending on individual skills and interests, the potential to get involved in many other project activities such as technical design, UI design, front-end programming, testing and project management.

Starting salary is £22-26,000 depending on experience, which includes the company bonus scheme. Your salary will be reviewed every six months with rises based on your performance.

Freelance Graphic Designer

We are looking for a designer who can demonstrate real enthusiasm and creativity, whilst accurately interpreting the client brief. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a mature and diversified design portfolio, showing a range of styles including design for large corporations and organisations. An understanding of usability and accessibility is vital to the role as is the ability to translate brands to effective online formats.

The successful applicant is likely to have a good design degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field. At least three years of work experience in web/interface design is essential. A good understanding of all aspects of the web design process is key to success in the role i.e. from client liaison and conceptual development, to information architecture, visual design and production.

The right candidate can expect to be involved with a variety of interesting projects with the option of a regular retainer if it suits both parties.
